There is excessive noise coming out of the heater. The latest versions of optiflame fires will have two switches marked i and ii to select the level of heating typically 1kw and 2kw output check if these switches are in the on position. If the unit does not turn on please make sure the heat switch is activated. The remote control may need to be initialized with the stove.

Press the switch twice to give heat and the flame effect on older models. Please change the light bulbs. If the heat turns on there is not a power issue. Ensure the intake louvers and log cavity are free from dirt and dust. Check to ensure the batteries are working and replace if required. The heater is either dirty or defective.
